2027: APC CHIEFTAIN CAUTIONS KWARA SOUTH YOUTHS AGAINST ACTIVITIES OF POLITITIANS 26-12-24
By Sadiq Aminu A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara South Senatorial District, Engineer Opeyemi Olabanji, has cautioned youths against being used by inordinate politicians ahead of 2027 general elections.
Addressing members of the youth wing of the APC from the Irepodun local government area of the state at his Ijan-Otun country home, Olabanji said that it was too early for any politician to be organizing the youths for political activities ahead of the elections.
The APC leader also said that any political activism, laden with covert campaigns against the ruling APC- led government in the state, would be counter productive.
The Irepodun APC youth leaders comprising of the local government youth leader, Mr. Femi Alter and all the youth leaders of the 11 wards consisting of Oro 1, Oro 2, Ajase 1, Ajase 2, Esie/Ijan, Omu- Aran 1, Omu- Aran2, Omu-Aran 3, Oko, Arandun and Ipetu-Rore, Aran-Orin were all at Ijan-Otun for the visit.
Olabanji advised that members of the
the party in power should not cause any distraction to governance.
He warned the youths against being cajoled into any political arrangement , adding that the Governor who is the leader of the party in the state is yet to give his nod to any zoning arrangement.
For his part the leader of the entourage, Mr. Femi Alter, thanked the APC chieftain for his words of caution and encouragement.
He promised to heed the words of advice and make the youths united against inordinate ambition of any politician.
