ARMY REINFORCES TROOPS, INITIATE NEW TACTICS TO FLUSH OUT LAKURAWA IN NORTH WEST                                                                                                                                  11-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The joint Task Force, Operation Fansan Yamma operating in Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina,, Kebbi and some parts of Kaduna and Niger Niger states, pledged ending Lakurawa and bandits activities in the North West.

The theatre Commander of the operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele gave the assurance while addressing troops of the Chief of Army staff intervention Battalion at their tactical headquarters in Gudu local government area of Sokoto State.

The commander who said the operational visit was aimed at boosting the morales of the troops, ordered them to either send the Lakurawas to hell or to send them back to where they come from.

The threatre Commander said Nigerian army will not allow any terrorists group to destabilised the peace and security structure of any part of Nigeria.

He said the tactical headquarters in Gudu LGA of Sokoto state was reinforced with a view to flushing out the Lakurawas in their enclaves in Gudu, Tangaza and other parts of the state.

Speaking to newsmen earlier, the Chairman of the Gudu Local Council, Alhaji Buhari Ahmad Gudula expressed his predicament stressing that the Lakuwas operates under the guise of Islam and rustles their Animals.

The Chairman said the Lakurawa’s preaching and behaviour have nothing to do with Islamic Religion.

Buhari Ahmad also expressed his relief that with the recent move taken by the Operation Fansan Yamma the Lakurawas and other bandits groups would be defeated.
