HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES RECEIVES REQUEST TO CREATE ADDITIONAL 31 STATES IN NIGERIA 06-02-25
By Sadiq Aminu The House of Representatives has Received proposals for the creation of additional 31 States across Nigeria.
Announcing the proposals during the House Plenary, the Deputy Speaker Mr Benjamin Kalu who presided over the Plenary and Doubles as Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review outlined constitutional requirements to be fulfilled before the approval of the proposal request.
According to the Deputy Speaker, the 10th National Assembly is committed to amending the nation’s constitution to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens.
The requests for additional States creation cut across the Six Geopolitical zones of the country.
