JIGAWA STATE REMITS OVER 4.5 BILLION NAIRA TO NAHCON 07-02-25
By Sadiq Aminu Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it has remitted 4.5 Billion naira hajj fares of some 2025 prospective pilgrims to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
The Director General of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo stated this to Africa247 in Dutse, the state capital.
He said that the board had remitted 4.520 Billion naira to NAHCON while expecting to remit more hajj fares before the deadline announced by NAHCON.
He explained that 1,809hajj seats was allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
According to him, the board has since distributed the allocation of 40 percent to local government areas of the state for the intending pilgrims.
Labbo therefore urged the state intending pilgrims to immediately complete their hajj fares before the deadline announced by NAHCON, as late payments may result in exclusion from the 2025 Hajj exercise.
He further explained that, the board will soon commence orientation sessions across designated centres by some Ulama’s for the state intending pilgrims.
While commenting on accommodation, the DG said, the board had secured world standard accomodation close to Holy Mosque in Makkah for the state pilgrims to perform their rituals exercise at ease during the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
He, therefore urged on the state intending pilgrims to continue to cooperate with the board in order to achieve the desired objectives.
Africa247 reports that, the board earlier announced over 8.4 million as the 2025 Hajj fare for the intending pilgrims from the state.
The Pilgrims Boss appreciated the support and existing cordial working relationship between the management of the board and the coordinators, while praying for a sustainable partnership in the interest of all and development of the state.
