KANO STATE PILGRIMS WELFARE BOARD REMITS N19 BILLION TO NAHCON FOR 2025 HAJJ                                                                                            13-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                   The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully concluded the sale of Hajj seats for the 2025 pilgrimage, remitting over ₦19 billion to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) as payment for Kano State pilgrims.

According to the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, the Board is committed to facilitating a smooth and seamless Hajj experience for all registered pilgrims.

Danbappa assured the public that necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of Kano State pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.

“The Board had earlier announced an initial deposit of ₦8.4 million for intending pilgrims, with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) allocating 4,356 seats to Kano State for the 2025 Hajj.”

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, appreciated the cooperation of Local Government Hajj Center Officers and Zonal Coordinators, urging them to remain informed about further updates regarding the pilgrimage process.

In a related development, the Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board received a delegation from the National Hajj Savings Scheme, who paid a courtesy visit to strengthen their partnership and collaborative efforts.

The Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, pledged to work hand in hand with the scheme to ensure the success of the initiative.
