NNPP CRISIS: FEDERAL LAWMAKER DEFECTS TO APC                                                                                                   20-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      A member of House of Representatives representing Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, Mr. Yusuf Shittu Galambi has defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, to the All Progressives Congress APC.

Reading the defection letter of Mr. Galambi in the floor of the house during the Plenary, by the Speaker House of Representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas, the defected lawmaker said he left NNPP because of the division in the party.
According to Mr. Galambi, his action was in accordance with the 1999 Constitution as Amended.

Mr. Galambi also pointed out that he joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC because of its ideology and developmental strides.
The NNPP has been facing leadership tussle which has caused factions in the party.
