NASARAWA STATE POLICE FOILS A ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING INCIDENT AND RECOVERS A VEHICLE AT KURUDU IN ABUJA, FCT 03-03-25

A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police SP Rahman Nansel says a distress call was received by the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed that the suspects were en route the Keffi- Akwanga Road.
Acting on the information, the commissioner of police directed the Garaku Divisional Police Officer DPO to set up a checkpoint at the Tollgate after which the white coloured stolen Lexus Jeep with registration number ABJ 107 DX matching the description given was recovered.
The statement explains that upon sighting the police, the criminals attempted to evade capture by reversing the vehicle but the officers acted decisively by disabling the vehicle’s tires.
It further states that the culprits abandoned the vehicle and fled into the nearby bush and escaped.
Meanwhile, the FCT Command has confirmed that the victim, a woman has been safely located after she was abandoned by the kidnappers before making away with her vehicle.
