By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Troops of the Joint Task Force Operation FANSAN YAMMA under the 1 Brigade Mobile Strike Teams have successfully carried out offensive operations against identified terrorist enclaves west of Kaura Namoda (Daji Yamma) in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State on March 10, 2025.

In a statement, the Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordination Centre for Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, confirmed that troops engaged terrorists at the hideout of the notorious kingpin, Dan Sa’adia.

During the coordinated air and ground assaults, multiple terrorists were neutralized, including a key leader identified as Babangida.

Troops recovered several items from Dan Sa’adia’s hideout, including one locally made pistol, one locally made revolver, and a PKT magazine.

Additionally, during a successful clearance operation at another hideout in Gidan Rugga, they seized a pair of woodland camouflage uniforms, a pair of boots, and Baofeng radio chargers.

Furthermore, the operation led to the reopening of the Kungurki-Walo road, which had previously been obstructed by terrorists, restoring movement and access for local communities.

The statement reaffirmed Operation FANSAN YAMMA’s commitment to eliminating terrorist hideouts and restoring socio-economic activities in the region. It also urged local communities to support security forces in their efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability.
