A NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPERS PUT OUT OF ACTION BY NIGERIA POLICE, NIGERIAN ARMY AND LOCAL VIGILANTE GROUPS IN AKWANGA LGA OF NASARAWA STATE 15-03-25
By Sadiq Aminu A suspected notorious and wanted kidnapper has been put out of action by the Nigeria Police through a joint operation with the Nigerian Army and local vigilante groups in Akwanga local Government area of Nasarawa State
A statement by the Command’s public relations officer, Superintendent of Police, SP Rahman Nansel says
the suspect identified as Abdullahi was intercepted near the Akwanga Central Mosque while riding a motorcycle at about ten pm yesterday.
According to the statement, the suspected kidnapper had been on the command’s wanted list for multiple offenses before he was arrested while attempting to evade arrest and fatally shot.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed commends the operatives for their professional conduct and effective collaboration.
He urges them to maintain the momentum in the ongoing fight against criminal elements in the state.
Items recovered from the suspect include,One Beretta pistol without bridge number and twelve rounds of 9mm live ammunition
One accomplice however managed to escape with gunshot wounds and a manhunt is currently underway to apprehend him.
