APC APPLAUDS SWIFT APPROVAL OF EMERGENCY RULE IN RIVERS STATE BY NASS                                                                                                                             23-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded the National Assembly for its swift approval of President Bola Tinubu’s proclamation of a state of emergency in Rivers State.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC praised the 10th Assembly for prioritizing national interest over partisanship, particularly acknowledging the opposition caucus for supporting the emergency measures.

“The President is committed to ensuring peace, maintaining law and order, protecting critical national assets in Rivers State, and ultimately restoring constitutional order in which all three arms of government executive, legislature, and judiciary coexist and perform their constitutionally assigned functions for the well-being and good governance of Rivers State.

The ruling party also criticized opposition leaders, accusing them of inaction during the crisis and attempting to exploit the situation for political gain.

The party called on the people of Rivers State and all Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s efforts to restore stability, protect lives and property, and ensure effective governance in the state.
