KANO STATE GOVERNMENT ACCELERATES INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT -SAYS COMMISSIONER                                                           27-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    Kano State Government Accelerates Infrastructure Development- Says Commissioner….Commissioner of Works Provides Update on Ongoing Projects.

The Kano State Commissioner of Works, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, says Kano State Government was Committed towards providing modern infrastructure aimed at enhancing development in the state.

Speaking during a media briefing, Ahmad highlighted various projects, including road construction, bridge development, office renovations, and streetlight installations.

He emphasized the government’s determination to improve public infrastructure for residents.

Marwan noted that the ongoing Key infrastructural Projects includes
Dan Agundi Flyover Bridge “Despite delays, the project has made significant progress, with most pier views complete. The next phase involves launching beams, followed by deck casting”

He said despite challenges faced at the Tal’udu Construction it has been resolved, and work will commence soon, with the project expected to be delivered before the end of the year.

The Commissioner explained that under the Urban Renewal Project Six major roads are currently under rehabilitation, with contractors working on Murtala Muhammad Way, Club Road, and Muhammadu Buhari Way.

“Relief Roads Several relief roads across Kano are near completion, with many set to be opened for use within two to three months.”

“5-Kilometer Road Projects, Roads in Albasu, Gezawa, Tofa, Dawakin Tofa, and Dambatta have been completed, equipped with solar-powered streetlights.”

Engineer Ahmad Marwan maintained that under the Metropolitan Solar Streetlight Project,Phase One and Phase Two are complete, with preparations underway for Phase Three.

He assured that funds saved from federal interventions would be redirected to other critical infrastructure projects across the state.
