The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s determination to secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Speaking to party stakeholders in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, Kalu emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in building a stronger APC in both the state and the entire South East region.
He highlighted President Tinubu’s inclusive style of governance—particularly his strategic appointments—as a key factor in garnering support across the South East. Kalu expressed confidence that with renewed commitment and strategic engagement, the APC can consolidate its presence nationwide.
“We must come together and work in unity. Strength lies in our collective effort,” Kalu said. “This mission is serious. What you put on the table determines what you take back. Present more, get more.”
He also underscored the significance of the Renewed Hope Partners initiative, supported by the President, which he has been leveraging to strengthen the party across Nigeria. Kalu pledged that Abia State would emerge as one of the APC’s strongest strongholds by 2027.
“Our goal is clear: re-elect President Tinubu. I’m fully committed to this cause, and I urge every party member to do the same,” he added. “We must boldly stand with the President. Let’s support our brother from the South as we head into 2027. The South East will deliver 70 to 80 percent of the vote.”
Earlier, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, the APC Chairman in Abia State, also spoke at the event, calling for unity and encouraging support for the Deputy Speaker’s leadership and vision.
