“The flagrant abuse of the law by the other faction of the State House of Assembly under Bilyaminu Moriki, which led to our unconstitutional suspension for over a year, is a clear violation of democratic principles,”
He further revealed that while some former leaders of the Assembly were mandated to initiate dialogue to resolve the crisis while a case remains pending at the Court of Appeal in Sokoto.
“The government hurriedly sought their arrest through a lower court. He criticized the presiding judge, Justice Halima Jaafar Mikaila, for allegedly issuing an arrest order without proper legal basis”
“Because the process was done hastily, one of the dates on the court order is erroneously marked 2024,” Kagara claimed. “Worse still, Justice Mikaila failed to specify who was to carry out the arrest, unless the intention was for it to be executed by the governor’s so-called attack squad.” The Statement claimed”
The statement reaffirmed the group’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and asserted that they remain undeterred by any form of threat or pressure.
