By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has commended the efforts of stakeholders for the quality of services rendered to the people.

The Regional Director of Kano, Mr. Albert Wilberforce, made the commendation during the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) Certificate Presentation Ceremony held in Kano.

Mr. Wilberforce stated that SON has the mandate to certify all products produced for the well-being of citizens.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that products meet standard requirements to protect consumers and promote economic development.

The Regional Director commended President Bola Ahmad Tinubu’s “Nigeria First” policy, stressing that it would go along way in boosting the economy of the Nation.

” This Policy would pave the way for the organization to support the Federal Government’s agenda and policies for the betterment of the country.”

The “Nigeria First” policy is expected to boost local production and support the country’s economic development.”

The State Coordinator Kano 2, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, gave a brief presentation on the MANCAP scheme and the new MANCAP Logo.

The State Coordinator Kano 1, Mr. Yachin Roger John, also gave a presentation on the product identification scheme, highlighting its importance in ensuring product quality and authenticity.

The Ceremony was graced by officials of the Standard Organization of Nigeria and other stakeholders.
