POLICE IN ANAMBRA NEUTRALIZES TWO OF THE HOODLUMS THAT ATTACKED ONE OF THE SECURITY TEAMS IN ISUOFIA, AGUATA LGA OF THE STATE                                                                                                                  16-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                         The Police Operatives in Anambra state have neutralized two of the hoodlums that attacked one of the security teams in Isuofia,Aguata local government area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, in a release, said they were killed in the process while others escaped.

He said regrettably, one of the security operatives was fatally wounded while one of the security operational vehicles was burnt by the bandits.

The Police Image Maker explained that during the gun battle, the criminals abandoned one of their operational vehicles, a Toyota Sienna and fled the scene due to the superior fire power of the security team.

Mr Ikenga said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Ikioye Orutugu had condemned the act and viewed it as a test of Ndi Anambra’s collective resolve to work with the security forces to dislodge and eliminate criminal elements in the State.

The PPRO said Mr Orutugu assured the people of the area that the Command would apprehend the perpetrators behind the unpatriotic act.

Mr Ikenga said calm had returned to the area and security reinforced with more armed operatives currently combing nearby bushes for possible arrest of the fleeing miscreants.
