KIDNAPPED APC WARD 5 CHAIRMAN IN OSE LGA OF ONDO STATE, MR NELSON HAS BEEN KILLED BY HIS ABDUCTORS 18-05-25
By Sadiq Aminu There are reports that the Kidnapped APC ward 5 chairman in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Mr Nelson Adepoyigi, has been killed by his abductors.
The kidnappers reportedly set free two individuals who allegedly went to drop off the five million naira ransom to secure Mr Adepoyigi’s release.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olutokunbo Afolabi however said police could not ascertain the killing but had deployed special force to Ifon to investigate the story flying around on social media.
Confirming the murder of the APC chieftain, an Ifon community leader who spoke anonymously, said the corpse of the victim was yet to be located in the forest, saying the two ransom bearers have reunited with their families.
On their return home, the freed ransom bearers confirmed that the suspected kidnappers said they had shot dead the APC ward chairman.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Ose council area, Mr Clement Ojo said
the people of the area were saddened by the tragic development.
