By Sadiq Aminu                                                          Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, CID of the Nasarawa State police command have arrested one Abashe Gizo at Shinge Market in Lafia for allegedly engaging in kidnapping and cattle rustling.

Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, Superintendent of Police, SP Rahman Nansel says the suspect was nabbed based on credible intelligence.

SP Rahman Nansel notes that the suspect had been on the Command’s wanted list for a long time due to multiple offences.

The suspect according to the statement confessed to the crimes and led officers to his hideout at Ruwan Baka village in Doma local Government area where one AK-49 rifle and a magazine were recovered.

One Fatima Salisu was recently arrested while transporting a cache of ammunition from Doma to Katsina State.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Mohammed reaffirms the Command’s commitment to reducing crime and ensuring the safety and security of all residents across the State.

He urges the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the command.
