LAST BATCH Of 140 INTENDING PILGRIMS FROM KWARA STATE AIRLIFTED TO SAUDI ARABIA 21-05-25
By Sadiq Aminu The last batch of 140 intending pilgrims from Kwara state including NAHCON officials have departed Babatunde Idiagbon International airport Ilorin to Saudi Arabia for 2025 Hajj exercise.
Addressing the pilgrimage at the departure at about 6:42pm today Wednesday, before their Airlift, the Chairman Kwara state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Professor Mashood Mahmud-Jimba advised the intending pilgrims to conduct themselves in good manner while at the holly land.
He warned them against carrying prohibited items to Saudi Arabia.
Professor Mahmud -Jimba said adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure they perform a hitch free Hajj exercise.
He urged them to avoid engaging in strenuous activities to enable them prepare well for the Hajj rites.
The chairman admonished the intending pilgrims to make use of the medical facilities provided when in need of medication.
In his remarks the Kwara state year 2025- Amirul Hajj, the Olupo of Ajase -Ipo, Barrister Ismail Yahaya-Alebiosu expressed satisfaction with the arrangements put in place in the airlift of the intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
He commend the state government for providing logistics to the board to ensure a hitch free exercise.
Barrister Yahaya-Alebiosu urged the intending pilgrims to observe rules and regulation while at the holly land.
On his part the Executive secretary, Kwara state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, advised the intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the country.
He also admonished the intending pilgrims to pray for peace and better economic prosperity while at the holly land.
A total of 2,210 Intending Pilgrims from Kwara state are expected to perform year 2025-Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
