POLICE IN ANAMBRA FOILS A KIDNAPPING ATTEMPT IN ISSUANIOCHA AWKA NORTH lGA OF THE STATE                                                                          20-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     Police Operatives in Anambra state have foiled a kidnapping attempt in Isuaniocha, Awka North local government area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga in a release, said the Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism squad Enugu-Ukwu also recovered the victim’s vehicle.

He explained that the kidnapping gang of five operating in a black coloured Toyota Corolla double crossed the victim at Amatu village, Agulu and abducted him with his black Lexus 350 SUV before the Police were alerted.

The PPRO said the operatives in technology-driven manhunt on the criminals, forced them to abandon the victim and his vehicle on the road at Isuaniocha and fled.

The Police Image Maker pointed out that the victim had been debriefed and in safe custody.

Mr Ikenga said the Operatives were currently working on the necessary information available to dislodge the kidnapping gang and had stepped up security surveillance in the area for possible arrest of the suspects and to nip in the bud any untoward situation.
