The Governor of Niger State, Farmer Umar Muhammad Bago, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr. Abubakar Adamu as the new Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).

Governor Bago expressed strong confidence in Dr. Adamu’s expertise and leadership, stating that his appointment would usher in a new era of innovation and advancement in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

According to the Governor, Dr. Adamu’s leadership is expected to significantly strengthen ARCN’s research capabilities, foster collaborations with academic institutions, and contribute meaningfully to the realization of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in agriculture.

Dr. Adamu is also expected to build upon existing research, forge new partnerships, and unlock fresh opportunities to boost the agricultural value chain, thereby creating jobs and stimulating rural economies.

“With Dr. Adamu at the helm, I believe ARCN is set to take bold steps toward solving food security challenges and driving sustainable agricultural development across Nigeria,” Governor Bago added.

The appointment has been widely viewed as a strategic step toward revitalizing the agricultural sector and ensuring a more productive and resilient food system in Nigeria.
