SOUN OF OGBOMOSHO CALLS ON LEADERS TO ALWAYS CREATE A CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR CITIZENS TO PROMOTE PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE 31-05-25
By Sadiq Aminu The Soun of Ogbomoso, Ọba Ghandi Afọlábí Oladunni Ọláoyè, Orumógege III, has called on leaders to always create a conducive environment for citizens to promote peaceful coexistence.
Ọba Ghandi Olaoye made the call during a visit to Ogbomoso descendants residing in Keffi and its environs.
The Orumógege III, who commended the Emir of Keffi, Shehu Chindo-Yamusa, for his hospitality, stated that a peaceful atmosphere fosters development and creates employment opportunities, which in turn supports government’s efforts towards achieving global competitiveness.
According to him, “upon my assumption as the Soun of Ogbomoso, I set a twenty five year agenda to ensure Ogbomoso becomes a mega and modern city and a good reference point.”
“My visit is not to impress you, but to remind you of the need to invest in the town to Fastrack development projects. It is a known fact that Ogbomoso descends are brave people and entrepreneurs.”
Earlier, the Emir of Keffi, Shehu Chindo-Yamusa, appreciated the Soun of Ogbomoso for the visit, stressing the importance of leaders prioritizing the interests of citizens and listening to their grievances.
He emphasized that such gestures point the way toward ensuring good governance and socio-economic development.
The high point of the visit was the conferment of the title Madochin Keffi on the former Chief Accountant of the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Samson Adegoke in recognition of his contributions as a peace ambassador in Keffi and his ancestral ties to Ogbomoso.
