PANIC AT IDU AREA OF MBORA DISTRICT OF FCT FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION AT A GAS PLANT BELONGING TO AYM SHAFA PETROL STATION 20-06-25
By Sadiq Aminu. There was panic today at Idu area of Mbora District of the FCT following a large explosion at a gas plant belonging to AYM Ashafa Petrol Station.
Africa 247 correspondent who is a resident of a near by estate who also visited the scene reports that the explosion occured at 11:30 am leaving residents of Idu area in panic.
Though no life was lost, there were a number of injured persons with first and second degree burns.
As at the time of this report, fire fighting officials, residents of the area were on the scene to observe the location and control and passing traffic after extinguishing the fire.
