NNPC LTD DONATES 35 CNG BUSES TO BOOST CLEANER ENERGY IN NIGERIA……………..
By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

NNPC Ltd has donated 35 hybrid CNG-powered buses to the Presidential Initiative on CNG (Pi-CNG) in support of Nigeria’s shift to cleaner energy.

At the event in Abuja, GCEO Mr. Bashir Ojulari reaffirmed NNPC’s commitment to expanding gas use and infrastructure. The donation aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to reduce fuel costs and promote natural gas.

Minister of State for Gas, Ekperikpe Ekpo, said the buses offer economic relief, environmental benefits, and social equity. Other NNPC executives echoed the importance of CNG in cutting petrol/diesel use and growing the gas sector.

The NNPC Foundation emphasized the focus on sustainable, community-driven energy. Pi-CNG CEO Michael Oluwagbemi called NNPC a key partner in Nigeria’s clean transport future.
