NIGERIAN AIR FORCE NEUTRALIZES 35 TERRORISTS AT CAMEROON BORDER

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Hadin Kai, has dealt a major blow to terrorists attempting to attack ground troops in Kumshe, near the Nigeria–Cameroon border.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, the operation followed credible intelligence reports that revealed terrorists were gathering in multiple locations. Acting swiftly, NAF aircraft carried out precision strikes in successive waves, targeting four assembly areas and neutralizing over 35 fighters.

The air assault not only disrupted the terrorists’ movement and logistics but also restored communication with ground forces, who later confirmed that the area had been secured and stabilized.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, commended the professionalism and dedication of the NAF crews. He stressed that the Air Force will continue to carry out intelligence-driven and aggressive operations to weaken terrorist networks and safeguard Nigeria’s sovereignty, particularly in the volatile North East border regions.

This operation once again highlights NAF’s crucial role in supporting ground troops and maintaining national security in the fight against terrorism.
