The Kano State Government has cautioned residents against selling or diverting free health commodities meant for public use.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, said items such as immunization, mosquito nets, family planning commodities, and maternal delivery kits are provided at no cost in all public health facilities.
He warned that anyone caught selling them will face sanctions, stressing that the commodities are meant to save lives, not to be traded.
Dr. Abubakar also assured that government is working to eliminate all unofficial charges and expand access to safe delivery kits across the 44 local governments.
He urged community leaders and civil groups to help ensure people benefit fully from the free services.
