NIGERIA HOSTS 11th WAAPAC CONFERENCE IN ABUJA

The Nigerian House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts will host the 11th Annual Conference of the West Africa Association of Public Accounts Committees (WAAPAC) in Abuja.
Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Bamidele Salam, said the event will strengthen parliamentary oversight on public debt, promote fiscal responsibility, and encourage knowledge sharing among lawmakers and financial experts across West Africa.
Themed “Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight of Public Debt: The Role of Finance and Public Accounts Committees,” the conference is expected to draw over 300 participants, including legislators, auditors, and policy experts.
