TUDU TO MARAFA: PDP IS THE RIGHT PATH, WORK WITH GOV.LAWAL FOR ZAMFARA’S PROGRESS

Sulaiman Ahmad Tudu, Senior Media Aide to the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, has urged former Senator Kabiru Marafa to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and support Governor Dauda Lawal’s leadership.
Tudu’s appeal followed Marafa’s recent resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC). He noted that both Marafa and Governor Lawal were once part of the G-8, a political group that stood up against former Governor Abdulaziz Yari’s dominance in Zamfara politics. According to him, this shared history proves that the two leaders already have a common vision for the state.
He stressed that Marafa’s departure from the APC was long anticipated, pointing out that the PDP remains the only party with solid national reach, grassroots strength, and the capacity to help leaders deliver on their promises. Tudu argued that returning to the PDP would be a “homecoming” for Marafa, as he was once a member of the party.
By teaming up with Governor Lawal, Tudu added, Marafa would not only strengthen the governor’s re-election prospects but also help drive policies that reflect the people’s needs. He dismissed the idea of Marafa joining smaller parties with little grassroots support, saying such a move would hold little political value.
Tudu concluded that Marafa’s best chance to stay relevant and contribute meaningfully to Zamfara’s development lies in reuniting with Governor Lawal under the PDP banner.
