The traditional ruler of Babanla in Kwara State, Oba Adegboyega Alabi, has urged government to convert the vast forest in his community into a military base or agricultural hub to curb banditry.
Speaking in Ilorin, the monarch said bandits often use the forest, which borders Patigi, Edu, and parts of Kogi State, as a hideout for attacks.
He also dismissed rumours linking him to kidnapping, stressing that he was never investigated or arrested. Oba Alabi commended the state government for prioritizing security and the welfare of citizens.
