The Chairman of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Barrister Kosmus Akighir, says the commission will work closely with governors to boost development and fight poverty in the region.
Speaking in Lafia during a courtesy visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Akighir stressed that partnership with governors and other stakeholders was vital to improving lives. He commended Sule for providing office space and appealed for more operational support.
Governor Sule described the visit as historic, marking the commission’s take-off, and thanked President Bola Tinubu and fellow governors for their role in establishing the NCDC. He urged North Central states to give both moral and financial backing to strengthen its operations.
