ZAMFARA FIRST LADY CALLS FOR PEACE AT UN EVENT

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has called on women and youth in Nigeria to embrace peace and unity. Speaking at the 2025 United Nations International Day of Peace in New York, she stressed the need for kindness, justice, and collective action to build a better society.

She noted that Nigerian women, especially governors’ wives, play key roles in promoting peace and development within their communities. Her participation, she said, reflects her commitment to a peaceful and prosperous future for all.

This year’s theme was “Peace is a Verb, Act Now for a Peaceful World.”
