Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security operations across Borno State.
While launching 63 new Hilux patrol vehicles for security agencies and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Maiduguri, Zulum said the move aims to enhance safety and sustain peace in the state.
He emphasized that security remains a top priority of his government and warned against misuse of the vehicles, directing that they be used strictly for security purposes. The State Security Trust Fund was also tasked with maintaining the vehicles.
Zulum commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security forces for their ongoing efforts to restore normalcy.
The CJTF Coordinator, Retired Col. Gambo, thanked the governor for the continued support, pledging to intensify collaboration with other security agencies to end insurgency.
Since 2019, Zulum’s administration has consistently provided vehicles and logistics to strengthen Borno’s security architecture.
