By: Safiya Abdulrahim Davban

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has concluded an inspection of hotels and catering facilities in Madinah as part of early preparations for the 2026 Hajj.

The exercise, led by Commissioner Professor Abubakar A. Yagawal, assessed accommodation and feeding arrangements to ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and NAHCON standards.

Over three days, the team inspected several hotels and catering services, confirming strong adherence to hygiene and safety requirements.

NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, urged the committee to uphold integrity and professionalism, emphasizing that pilgrims’ welfare remains the Commission’s top priority.

The inspection report will guide future policy decisions ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
