ZAMFARA APC DENIES SANCTION CLAIM, WARNS AGAINST ANTI-PARTY MOVES

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Zamfara State APC has dismissed an online report claiming some members from Shinkafi took the party to court over an alleged sanction.

APC spokesperson Yusuf Idris Gusau described the story as false and aimed at damaging the party’s image. He said the party has not suspended anyone, received no court order, and is unaware of any disciplinary action involving the individuals mentioned.

Gusau explained that those behind the report may only be afraid of possible action for alleged anti-party activities and their perceived ties with the ruling PDP. He stressed that the APC constitution provides clear penalties for anti-party behaviour if proven.

The party challenged the individuals to present any official letter showing they were sanctioned and confirmed that no notice has come from the State High Court. Gusau said the report is a deliberate attempt to create tension and hide their political dealings with the PDP.

The APC has directed its Shinkafi leadership to investigate the matter and report immediately.
