NECO EXPANDS GLOBAL REACH TO BURKINA FASO

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has extended its presence to Burkina Faso, granting full accreditation to schools for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). NECO’s team carefully assessed classrooms, laboratories, libraries, exam halls, sports facilities, teacher availability, and school security to ensure readiness for its exams.
This move highlights NECO’s commitment to quality education beyond Nigeria. It follows the establishment of an exam center in London and existing centers in Togo, Benin, Niger, Equatorial Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso, M.D. Galadima, praised the initiative, noting it will ease challenges faced by Nigerian parents in Burkina Faso, who previously had to travel to Nigeria for exams, risking safety and high costs. He encouraged the Nigerian community in Burkina Faso to take advantage of NECO’s accreditation and register their children for SSCE and BECE.
