NIGERIA MAKES HISTORY WITH MAIDEN INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Federal Government says Nigeria’s first-ever International Airshow marks a bold beginning that will grow into a major global aviation event, comparable to Paris, Dubai, Farnborough, and Singapore.

Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, speaking at the opening of the three-day event at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, said the initiative reflects President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Nigeria’s ambition to lead and innovate in global aviation.

He described the airshow as a historic step, offering a platform for investment, technology exchange, and inspiration for young Nigerians pursuing aviation careers. Keyamo also highlighted ongoing achievements in aviation safety, airport upgrades, airspace improvements, and international partnerships.

He congratulated all stakeholders, expressing confidence that Nigeria is on course to become Africa’s top aviation hub
