REPS ORDER CBN, TCN, SEPLAT TO SUBMIT POWER SECTOR TRANSACTION DETAILS

By; Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The House of Representatives panel probing power sector reforms from 2007–2024 has directed the CBN, TCN and SEPLAT to submit full documents on their agreements, payments and transactions by next Tuesday.

Committee Chairman Ibrahim Almustapha said the records are crucial to understanding loans, operations and agreements that shaped the sector.

CBN told lawmakers it supported reforms by issuing loans to power companies in phases, while TCN requested one week to furnish complete details. SEPLAT asked for legislative support, citing financial challenges affecting gas supply.
