Youths in Kwara State have been urged to take ownership of the political process and prepare for leadership through discipline, education and service to society. The call was made at the maiden Kwara PDP Youth Summit held in Ilorin to mark the 63rd birthday of former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
Speaking at the event, Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker, Debo Ogundoyin, said active youth participation is vital to democratic growth and good governance in Nigeria. He stressed that the future of the country depends on young people who are ready to engage responsibly in politics and public service.
Also speaking, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, represented by Hon. Bam Omisore, described Saraki as a national leader whose influence and mentorship extend beyond Kwara State. He encouraged youths to remain politically active, engage their communities and participate fully in the democratic process.
