NRS INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS TO DRIVE REVENUE REFORMS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has inaugurated a new team of Executive Directors, marking a significant step in strengthening the Service’s capacity to deliver on its revenue mobilisation and institutional reform mandate.

The newly inaugurated leadership brings decades of combined experience spanning tax administration, finance, technology, policy, corporate services, and public sector reform. Their appointment reflects NRS’s strategic focus on professionalism, innovation and strong governance as it deepens compliance, modernises operations and enhances taxpayer engagement nationwide.

Speaking on the development, the Service described the new Executive Directors as seasoned professionals whose diverse backgrounds across public service, finance, technology and global institutions will support the transformation agenda of the NRS. The leadership team is expected to provide strategic direction across critical functions including finance and corporate services, large and emerging taxpayers administration, policy and compliance, technology, and stakeholder management.

With the inauguration completed, the Executive Directors are set to assume full responsibilities, working collaboratively to strengthen revenue performance, improve service delivery and position the NRS as a modern, efficient and trusted revenue authority.
