The Anambra State Government says emergency medical services have continued to improve under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, said the growth reflects the government’s commitment to saving lives and strengthening healthcare delivery across the state.
He explained that since the launch of the Anambra State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System in 2023, emergency response and access to care have expanded to urban, rural, and riverine communities, helping residents receive timely medical attention during critical situations. Dr. Obidike noted that the service remains free for certified emergencies, ensuring that no one is denied care due to financial constraints.
Residents were encouraged to promptly access emergency medical support through the official contact lines: 112, 5111, 08002200008, 09113634522, 09113634381, and 09113634173.
