POLICE ARREST THREE OVER ASSAULT, ABDUCTION ATTEMPT IN ONDO

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspects over two separate incidents involving the assault and attempted abduction of traffic officers in Akure.
In one case, a driver who violated traffic rules reportedly refused to comply with officers and drove off with a female traffic warden still inside his vehicle. Police operatives later intercepted the car and rescued the officer safely, arresting those involved.
In a separate incident, another suspect allegedly attacked officers while resisting arrest after being stopped for driving against traffic. She was taken into custody, while police say efforts are ongoing to apprehend her fleeing accomplice.
Authorities confirmed that all arrested suspects have been charged in court, stressing their commitment to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring the safety of officers on duty.
