SHETTIMA REVEALS ALLEGED PLOT TO TURN TINUBU AGAINST HIM

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has disclosed that some individuals allegedly tried to create distrust between him and President Bola Tinubu shortly after they assumed office in 2023.
Speaking at the launch of former Head of State Yakubu Gowon’s autobiography, Shettima said some people allegedly told Tinubu that he was planning to assassinate him and take over power.
According to the Vice-President, Tinubu invited him and revealed the claims, including allegations that traditional clothes gifted to the president before the election were meant for fetish purposes.
Shettima said Tinubu dismissed the allegations and continued wearing the clothes, adding that the president refused to be influenced by attempts to sow division between them.
He also called on Nigerians to promote unity and avoid actions capable of creating tension among leaders and citizens.
