A presidential aspirant of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2027 election, Dr. Yakubu Kingsley, has condemned attacks on Nigerians living abroad, particularly in South Africa, and called for stronger diplomatic action to protect citizens.
In a statement, Kingsley described the reported xenophobic attacks and discrimination against Nigerians as unacceptable, stressing that no one should be subjected to mob justice, racial profiling or persecution because of their nationality.
He urged the Federal Government to engage the South African government through diplomatic channels to ensure those responsible for the attacks are investigated and prosecuted, while calling on Nigerian embassies to provide stronger protection and support for citizens abroad.
