HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PASSES FOR SECOND READING A BILL TO END TRIBUNAL CASES BEFORE SWEARING-IN OF ELECTED CANDIDATES                                                                                        25-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The House of Representatives has passed for second reading a Bill to determine all appeals arising from election Petition Tribunals matters from the outcome of elections before swearing-in of President-elect, Vice-President-Elect, Governor-Elect, Deputy Governor-Elect, Members-Elect of the National and State Assemblies.

The Bill sponsored by a member from Bauchi State, Mansur Manu Soro and five other members is among the 39 Bills passed by the Green Chamber to Alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended.
The Bill was referred to Constitutional Review Committee for further legislative action.
