PDP INAUGURATES DIRI AS HEAD OF CONVENTION ZONING COMMITTEE………………..

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated its National Convention Zoning Committee in Abuja, appointing Bayelsa Governor Douye Diri as chairman. Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal and Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang will serve as vice chairman and secretary.
Acting PDP Chairman, Umar Damagum, described the committee’s role as crucial in repositioning the party ahead of its November 2025 convention. He urged members to act swiftly and wisely to deliver a credible zoning formula.
Bauchi Governor and PDP Governors Forum chairman, Bala Mohammed, said the governors are united in supporting the party’s leadership to rescue Nigerians from poor governance. He praised the committee’s capacity, stressing that PDP remains the nation’s most tested democratic platform.
Diri, in his response, acknowledged the “huge responsibility” and promised fairness, inclusiveness, and consultation in carrying out the assignment.
