By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dr Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, has paid condolence visits to Kakkarai and Maru communities in Zamfara State following recent tragic losses.

In Kakkarai, the lawmaker joined residents to mourn the late District Head, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Yusuf, describing his passing as a major loss to the community and the traditional institution in Zamfara. He said the late traditional ruler remained committed to his people and supportive of peace and development efforts despite security challenges in the area.

Dr Zannan Bungudu prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and extended his sympathies to the Emir of Bungudu, the bereaved family and the entire Kakkarai community.

He also visited Maru to sympathise with families affected by a recent bandit attack that claimed lives and led to abductions. Expressing deep sorrow, the lawmaker reassured residents of his commitment to advocating for improved security and urged continued cooperation with security agencies.

Special prayers were offered for lasting peace, the victims and the safe return of those abducted.
