By: Africa247live Channel

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed that the Common Entrance Examination for eligible pupils in public primary schools remains free, warning school administrators against collecting unauthorised fees from parents and guardians.

Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, said the examination is fully funded by the state government and directed principals and head teachers to strictly comply with the policy. He stressed that any violation would be investigated and appropriate sanctions imposed.

The commissioner also urged parents and guardians to report any demand for illegal payments, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring transparent, fair and accessible education for every eligible child in the state.
