BREAKING: IGP TUNJI DISU ARRIVES MINNA TO COORDINATE RESCUE OPERATION

Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has arrived in Minna, Niger State, to coordinate efforts to rescue victims abducted from communities in Borgu Local Government Area.
The development follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for security agencies to secure the release of the victims, who were reportedly abducted from a mosque and nearby communities.
The Niger State Police Command said a rescue team led by Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Victor Olaiya, has also been deployed to the state.
Police authorities have advised residents in bandit-prone communities to relocate temporarily to allow security forces to conduct clearance operations.
The victims were reportedly abducted on Friday from a mosque in the Dekkara area of New Bussa, as well as Massaka, Sabongida and Gidamaza communities.
