The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has condemned the alleged destruction of its campaign billboards and posters in Argungu Local Government Area by some supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The APC State Publicity Secretary, Isah Abubakar Assalafi, described the incident as unfortunate, stressing that political differences should not lead to the destruction of another party’s property.
He said all political parties have the right to promote their activities and display campaign materials without intimidation or harassment.
Assalafi urged APC supporters to remain calm and avoid retaliation, adding that the party believes in peaceful political activities and respect for democratic principles.
He also called on security agencies to investigate the incident and bring anyone found responsible to justice. He appealed to the ADC leadership to caution its supporters against actions capable of creating political tension in the state.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful political engagement, mutual respect and the preservation of peace in Kebbi State.
