KANO HISBAH COLLABORATES WITH MARKETS TO END SOCIETAL VICES                                                                 08-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Kano hisbah board has reiterated its commitment to collaborate with business owners in the fight against societal vices and deception across markets.

The commander general of the board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, made the indication while receiving the management of the Kantin Kwari market in his office.

Sheikh Daurawa pointed out that, the board has received complaints from the public, on how they were deceived by unpatriotic traders, by selling low-quality clothing materials.

He stressed that they also received reports on vices committed at the market after closure, hence the need for adequate measures to curtail the menace.

The managing director, Alhaji Hamisu Sa’adu Dogon Nama pointed out that, the collaboration with hisbah would yield positive results on challenges bedevilling the market.

He explained that the market is filled with people from different backgrounds and as such there’s an urgent need to carry out activities according to the teachings of Islam.

The chairman of Kantin Kwari Market Association, Alhaji Ishaq Alkalim Tatari that the challenges facing the market include congestion and lack of proper drainage.

He decried the recent trend where some Ankara producers reduce the number of materials without the knowledge of customers.

Africa 247 reports that the delegation was received by the commander-general, deputy commander-general and other management staff of the Kano state Hisbah board.
