ARMY TROOPS NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS, RECOVER RIFLE IN KADUNA 06-11-23
By Sadiq Aminu Troops of Nigerian Army 1 Division Kaduna have on November 5, while on clearance operation at Maidaro, Ngade, Ahla and Rikau villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, made contact with terrorists and criminal elements.
Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division Kaduna, Lt Colonel Musa Yahaya in a statement says on sighting the troops, the terrorists took to their heels, as troops pursued and neutralised two, while others escaped with gunshot wounds and abandoned one motorcycle.
Similarly, same day, troops carried out a discreet operation around tantatu and antena general area in Chikun LGA, where one terrorist was neutralised and one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, quantity seven of 7.62mm(special) ammunition, and two mobile phones were recovered.
According to the statement, the General Officer Commanding 1 Division and Force Commander, Operation Whirl Punch, Major General Valentine Okoro has applauded the troops for their remarkable resilience, and charged them to sustain the tempo, until all terrorists and criminals in the Division’s area of responsibility are completely annihilated.
He also appealed to the good people of Kaduna State to continue to avail the Army and other security agencies with credible and actionable intelligence.
